I really like that new Gold Bug. I wish it had a bigger coil though, but it will be a good bedrock sniper!

The new Gold Bug is not at all bad, sure it might not be as sensative as say a 50 khz machine but Ive been very impressed at its ability on small lead and copper slivers from bullets.( no gold feilds yet) It does excellent in trashy areas, the 5"dd will split a hair. It is super easy and has a great disc and does great in the park as well. When Im removing nails from my hole to get to a good target Im happy. Watch you tube for recovery speed tests and you will see Fishers machines are super fast and this one is no exception.!!!!

This model is the second step back in the grave for the company that took over Fisher. Previous model was the most sensitive thing on the market. This one is just another gmt, but not as sensitive, maybe more depth, but it can't compete with a used eureka gold for senstivity, or a used minelab pulse detector for depth or ground balancing, get the previous model for actual in the field use. Leave this one in the stores or the boardroom. Back to the drawing board Fisher.

I stand corrected. The F75 LTD and T2 LTD new modes show that FTP has somehow increased their ground filtration to a new level. The features on the Gold Bug show something better is going on.

Yep, it looks cool. However I don't have any confidence in First Texas ability to design a detector to handle ground conditions with high mineral content. They haven't yet and I don't expect this one to be any different.
