The current system uses a random reroll approach, which can create an awkward situation where an upgrade attempt makes an otherwise excellent item less desirable. If your Mythic Unique already has the affixes you want, gambling on a last-minute improvement may not be worthwhile.

Season 15 is expected to introduce a more direct upgrade system through the Horadric Cube. Saving valuable crafting materials and Pandemonium Fragments until the new system arrives could therefore be a better long-term decision.

Use Seasonal Resources Wisely

Finally, look through your seasonal currencies, keys, materials, and other resources. Some will migrate to the Eternal Realm, but that does not necessarily mean they will be useful for your Season 15 character.

If you are planning to focus entirely on the new seasonal ladder, consider spending resources that have little value outside Season 14. Run activities you have been postponing and collect rewards while they are still relevant.

At the same time, do not waste something valuable simply because the season is ending. If a resource will remain useful for an Eternal character you plan to play, keeping it can still be the better choice.

The final weeks are also a good opportunity to decide which D4 items deserve permanent space in your collection. If you are still missing important gear for an Eternal build, finishing that preparation before the transition can make the changeover much smoother.
