To hear Eileen I have to remove one ear.

Hey!  This could be marketed to ALL husbands!  Not just detectorists!  😉

Wow!  I REALLY like the look and design of those…I wonder if there's a USA distributor?  How's the audio quality compared to others, Ian?

I haven't seen that one…sounds like another blow to the hobby.  I looked around on Youtube to find it and post it here but haven't come across it yet.

The forum software puts up a thumbnail pic and then they expand to original size when you click on 'em (or at at least it supposed to)

NICE ring!  The gold and sparklies get the ticker thumpin'…that's for sure!  Glad you were able to find it for them…kind deeds have their own reward, that's for sure.

Like you guys, I do airtesting for comparison purposes and to check ID's on targets (especially trash items).  The halo situation is very intersting.  Some smart folks think it's actually electrical contact with the soil around the item.  One thing is for sure, it would HAVE to be a a metal that can oxidize and join with the soil.  Gold, for example, shouldn't be able to get a halo because, as far as I know, it doesn't oxidize in the soil.  Silver and iron, though, do.  So far, I've never seen a detector ground test deeper than it will airtest on the same item.  I'm definitely open to debate and proof though!

Those CZ's are amazing.  Even with all the modern advancements, they are just about as deep (or deeper) than anything in an open field on coins.  They can be a little tougher (for me) on colocated targets…like foil mixed with a coin.  I also tend to dig my share of old nails with 'em (although the pinpoint sizing tech can usually tell you it's too big for a coin). I currently have a CZ3D and use it mainly for testing against other detectors for comparison purposed.  Brick on a stick sums it up pretty well!  However, it will find a TON of old coins...and deep too.  Does NASA Tom fix CZ stuff other than 3D's?  I don't have a clue what his charge would be though, if he does.

Nice variety, there NP!  I wish I still had my Toltec 100.  A really cool machine with accurate meter.  I also miss my old Nautilus 2b sometimes.I enjoy detecting technology and machines almost as much as I do hunting...it takes all sorts, I reckon!.

Thanks fellas.  I can't help you too much with beach hunting videos (as much as I'd like to!)  I am looking into putting together a youtube channel that I'll link back to reviews.  Another good suggestion is showing more on settings…I'll work on that too.
